Over the past several years, Google Analytics has changed signficantly. New features such as Advanced Segments & Custom Reporting are very effective ways of honing in on your core customer base, measuring the effectiveness of your online marketing sources and identifying new ways to trim the wastage of your marketing budget.

For instance, one of our clients recently used Google Analytics’ Advanced Segmentation feature to report separately on daytime and evening visitors for from their PPC accounts. It was identified that the vast majority of their converting customers came during the evening, persuading our client to only serve PPC ads during these hours. The end result -cost per conversion was lowered by 30% as the daytime ‘wastage’ was cut.
